Park(ing) Day is an annual celebration of creatively converting car parking spaces into tiny parks and places for art, play and simple enjoyment. It’s a unique opportunity to engage in ongoing dialog around how our cities are designed and built. Stop by for lunch or after work to take a look at what local artists, architects and others have designed! The day is intended to encourage placemaking and raise awareness about the importance of walkable, livable and healthy communities.
Feel inspired to submit a design and host a park(ing) space of your own? Submit your design by no later than September 8. The limited spots available will all be near the intersection of 8th Avenue and Olive Street, and designs will be approved on a rolling basis.
