It’s Downtown Eugene’s biggest party! Halloween Downtown is Saturday, October 26th from 1-6pm.
This year’s event is much more than just trick-or-treating. In addition to everyone’s favorite Eugene trick-or-treating event, this year’s Halloween Downtown will feature monstrous attractions, inviting you to learn about spooks and ghouls from cultures around the world. Venture all across downtown to enter into a raffle with wonderful prizes from downtown businesses.
This family-friendly event is 100% free and has something for everyone!
Monstrous Map of the Macabre
The Monstrous Map of the Macabre is a spooky scavenger hunt, new to Halloween Downtown for 2024. Explore attractions spread throughout downtown for a howling good time! Navigate the map to learn about monsters from all kinds of cultures, presented by folks right here in Eugene. Attractions will be interactive, educational, and most importantly, perfectly spooky.
Grab your map at the info booth at Broadway & Olive. Explore the full map for the clues you’ll need to decipher the secret code that gets you into the prize raffle, sponsored by businesses across downtown Eugene.
Timeline of Events
- 1-2pm: Halloween Pet Parade! Join in on the fun with your costumed creature by meeting at 12:30 at 7th Ave. and Willamette St., in front of the Hult Center. All pets must be leashed and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their furry monsters.
- 1-4pm: Explore the Halloween Family Maze at the Eugene Library
- 2-5pm: Trick-or-treating hours for the kids. Downtown businesses will have candy and other goodies up for grabs.
- 2-6pm: Explore the Monstrous Map of the Macabre!
- 5:45pm: Halloween Downtown formally wraps up. Join the finale in Kesey Square featuring Thrill the World and the Hexenbrut witches.
But you don’t have to go home then! Downtown will be open all night long for dining, drinks and entertainment.
