  • Em X: Blazing New Trails for Transit

    For Eugene-Springfield, the first bus rapid transit corridor is a four-mile route connecting downtown Eugene with downtown Springfield. This first line, named EmX, is entering its final stage of construction and is scheduled to begin service in December 2006.

  • Take the Train! Ride Amtrak

    All Aboard, Again, AMTRAK! After a $4.5 million renovation, the Eugene Depot is back on track. Amtrak and the federal government provided most of the funding to improve the depot and its immediate surroundings. The depot, which first opened in 1908, continues to serve rail passengers up and down the West Coast.

  • Parking in Downtown Eugene

    The City of Eugene's EasyPark program in Downtown Eugene makes parking easy and convenient. Monday through Friday parking is free for the first hour at theOverpark (10th & Oak) and Parcade (8th & Willamette). All City garages are free on weekends and all downtown City parking including garages and metered spaces, is free after 6:00 p.m. Parking validations, meter keys and parking permits also provide a variety of inexpensive and convenient options to fit your needs.
