Downtown Eugene is a versatile, diverse community. Branding and marketing the downtown area affects elements of business, new development, transportation and residential status across a broader segment of the community than is contained in the Downtown Services District (DSD). As the arts, entertainment and cultural hub of Lane County, Downtown Eugene is considered "everybody's neighborhood." In fact, the City of Eugene identifies downtown as far north as the Willamette River, south to 11th Ave., east to Hilyard and west to Lincoln. All property owners, businesses and individuals with an interest in downtown development who do not own property within the DSD are eligible for an Associate Membership with Downtown Eugene Inc. Properties within the current Downtown Services District that don’t currently pay the DSD fee due to exemptions may also choose to contribute to the efforts of Downtown Eugene Inc. as Associate Members.

Membership Fees. Know what’s going on downtown and learn how you can support a more vital downtown. A small annual investment-equivalent to $25-$50 per month keeps you informed about important downtown issues, projects and events. The annual fee for an Associate Membership for small businesses is $300 per year.* For large corporations and co-op organizations, the annual fee for Associate Membership is $600 per year.*

Associate Member benefits include the following:          

• Eligible for DEI Board membership.
• Special notice of DEI meetings, downtown events and activities.
• Support for a more vibrant, active, and safe downtown environment.
• Involvement with an organization advocating for downtown issues to City Council.
• Twice monthly e-newsletter subscription updating downtown projects and special events.
• Ability to participate in DEI marketing and branding programs such as the online business directory, cooperative advertising, special events, publicity, banners and flower pot program.
• Ability to contribute press release announcements and provide articles for member-focused publications, emails and www.downtowneugene.com.
